Just You Wait Till They See The North Pole Post Mark On Their Letter From Santa
A letter from Santa with a North Pole postmark is something children everywhere would be excited to receive in response to their own Santa letter. While you could leave the letter from Santa entirely up to Father Christmas, every parent knows that Mr. Claus is as busy as they are during the Christmas season and might want to take a few extra steps to ensure that their child gets a letter from Santa in response to the letter their child so faithfully took the time to write and address to the Santa Clause house.
However, while it might seem like just any old letter from Santa will do, take the time to find an extra special Christmas letter that will make this correspondence from Santa Claus truly memorable. What follows are a five “letter from Santa” guidelines to remember when looking for a site that promises to deliver a letter from Santa to your door:
1) The first thing any child is going to look for when a letter from Santa arrives is if there is an authentic North Pole postmark. Make sure that the letter posts from the North Pole. North Pole, Alaska is a real little town with a postal service that handles plenty of letters both to and from Santa each Christmas season.
2) Try to find a site that will allow you to personalize this letter from Santa as much as possible. If you know what your child has written to Santa, try to find a service that allows you to address some of your child’s wishes and requests. A more personalize note from Santa Claus will much a much greater impression and create more of a magical memory for your child than if they get a letter from Santa in which they are merely thanked.
3) As much as we all now rely on the Internet, an email from Santa, or something that looked like an generic computer form letter would not have the same impact on your child as a real letter from Santa – handwritten in old-fashioned ink. Children know that Santa Claus has been around since before email and, much as a letter from their grandmother or distant aunt, would expect a letter from Santa to be written by hand.
4) Some retailers use the lure of selling a letter from Santa as the bait needed to sell you a bunch of add-ons. A child will be excited enough to receive just the handwritten sent from the Santa Claus house, they are not expecting a bunch of “souvenirs” from the North Pole to arrive. Don’t get talked into buying a bunch of Christmas trinkets that your child won’t appreciate.
5) The letter from Santa should also come from your country of origin. Your best bet would be a place that posts through North Pole, Alaska if you live in the US. Even though the Swedes will tell you Father Chrismas lives in the Laplands – ordering a letter from there will not impress your child much if he’s never been there and most definitely didn’t write to Santa Claus house in Sweden! Further, taking the chance on a letter coming from another country increases the chance of it getting lost along the way and the use of unfamiliar language, spellings or terms.
